- The Canadian Paraplegic Association receives funding from the Office of Disability issues under Social Development Canada: Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities. The funding is a grant and will be cut after 2015-16 fiscal year.

THE CANADIAN PARAPLEGIC ASSOCIATION (CPA) IS A NATIONAL VOLUNTARY ASSOCIATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO ASSIST PERSONS WITH SPINAL CORD INJURIES AND OTHER PHYSICAL DISABILITIES TO ACHIEVE INDEPENDENCE, SELF-RELIANCE AND FULL COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION, THROUGH COUNSELLING, INFORMATION AND ADVOCACY.
