- Bill C-227, National Strategy for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Act, in regards to the establishment of a national strategy for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.

Policies or Program
- Health Canada "Drug Strategy and Controlled Substances Program and Policy", which seeks to regulate controlled substances and promotes initiatives that reduce or prevent harm, in respect to seeking support and endorsement by Health Canada of the National Alcohol Strategy (a voluntary intiative of a multi-stakeholder working group composed of alcohol and addictions Non-Government Organizations, academics, researchers, federal and provincial governments, the beverage alcohol industry and liquor boards).
- Health Canada support for the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Alcohol Strategy, adopted by the WHO World Health Assembly (WHA) in May 2010.
- Participation in discussions with Health Canada regarding Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Project on Economics of Prevention (Tackling Alcohol-Related Harm), seeking from Health Canada support in ensuring that OECD recommendations align with the Global Alcohol Strategy.
- Participation in the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) consultations on the Food Labelling Modernization Initiative, which has for its objective the identification of ways to better respond to changing consumer expectations and industry needs relating to labelling. This review will also consider changes to allow industry stakeholders to effectively market their products and communicate to consumers through labels.
- Requesting that Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) ensure that the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO) action plans and strategies on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) align with the Global Alcohol Strategy.

Beer Canada is the national voice of beer, representing 26 Canadian brewing companies that account for 90% of beer made in Canada. As a national non-profit trade association representing brewing companies operating in Canada, the Association undertakes issue-orientated, statistical, and administrative activities on behalf of membership.

Membership is open to such corporations not affiliated through stock ownership or share control or management agreement with any other member, or any other group of members associated with the aforesaid, which are licensed to engage in the business of a brewer in Canada, and which make application in writing to the Board of Directors of the Association for membership therein and are elected to membership by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
