The Salvation Army is an evangelical branch of the Christian church. The mission of The Salvation Army in Canada and Bermuda is to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world. The Salvation Army carries out its Mission through the Establishment and Operation of Homes, Emergency Shelters and Workshops for the Poor, Hospitals, Homes for the Aged and Long-Term Care Facilities, Churches, Colleges for Officer Training, Shelters and Workshops for Persons Convicted of Criminal Offences, Residnetial and Day Treatment Programs for Persons Addicted to Drugs and Alcohol, Emergency and Disaster Relief.
