Grant, Contribution or Other Financial Benefit

• Communications with public officials from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Health Canada - International Affairs Directorate (IAD) with regard to awarding of grants and contributions under the "Federal Initiative to Address HIV/AIDS in Canada" program.

• Amendments to sections 210-213 of the Criminal Code to protect the health and human rights of sex workers
• An Act to amend the Patent Act and the Food and Drugs Act (The Jean Chretien Pledge to Africa), S.C. 2004, c.23 Lobbying related to amendments aimed at simplifying further use of the act.
• Corrections and Conditional Release Act, S.C. 1992, c.20 Our interest is in ensuring that this legislation facilitates access to prevention information tools and services on the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), and facilitates access to adequate care, treatment and support for prisoners with HIV.
• Criminal Code R.S.C. 1985, C-46 Our interest is in ensuring that this law and its application in practice does not impede access to prevention information, tools and services (for example needle exchange programs, supervised injection facilities, methadone treatment) on the Human Immunodeficiency (HIV) and other health services for people who use drugs.

• Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, S.C. 1996, c. 19 Our interest is in ensuring that this law and its application in practice, does not impede access to prevention information, tools and services (eg. needle exchange programs, supervised injection facilities, methadone treatment) on the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and other health services for people who use drugs.
