- Calling for an end to the use of Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) to promote and protect the interests of Canadian mining operations overseas.

- Promoting adoption by the government of an action plan for implementation of the UN’s the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
- Promoting respect for the rule of law and international covenants, including the United Nations Convention on Torture and the United Nations Refugee Convention, in the context of national security and “anti-terrorist” legislation and other non-legislated measures.
