Description of the organization's activities
The University of Windsor is Canada's most personal comprehensive university. It combines a strong and focused emphasis on the learning experience of each student with a very broad range of graduate, undergraduate and professional programmes. The University has more than 140 undergraduate and graduate programs across 9 Faculties for 16, 000 students. It offers 9 co-operative education programs for 1, 100 students and is affiliated with 3 Colleges. A special focus on automotive, environmental and social justice interdisciplinary research reflects the priorities of the University and its surrounding region.

Organization's membership or classes of membership
The University of Windsor Act establishes the university's bicameral governance structure. The Act assigns responsibility for the direction of all operational aspects of the University to the 32-member Board of Governors. The Senate is responsible for academic programming. The Senate and Board of Governors have a broad membership including students, faculty, staff members, alumni, business and community leaders and representatives of its three affiliated Colleges.
