- Discussed funding for International Watersheds Coordinator for Lake of the Woods watershed

- As part of the Climate Action Network lobby days, voiced opposition of Bill C-38, the Jobs, Growth and Long-Term Prosperity Act, on its regressive action on environmental legislation and climate change policy in Canada.
- Discussed changes to the Fisheries Act included in Bill C-38, the Jobs, Growth and Long-Term Prosperity Act, and the position of the official opposition in these changes.
- Species at Risk Act (SARA): Provided advice and input on the successful implementation of SARA, to improve the recovery of species at risk in Canada.
Policies or Program
- Discussed WWF's Oceans program and positions with respect to oceans management. Discussed the shared need to managed fisheries resources, including the role of the government.
- Discussed federal role in freshwater policy and management; sought support of official opposition for greater federal role in this area.
- Discussed need for federal involvement in marine planning and the opposition to the proposed Northern Gateway Pipeline.
- Discussed the a National Conservation Plan for Canada ,integrated land and sea use management. marine protected areas (MPA), networks of MPAs, MSP. Representatives from Pembina, Ecojustice and CPAWS were also in attendance.
- Discussed the future of the Arctic Council, Canadian chairmanship, WWF's vision for the Arctic and the Arctic Council work for the following period; preparations for the Ministerial meeting.
- During one of a series of consultations for the establishment of the financial institution for the recovery of marine species, discussed a WWF global initiative pilot project for the Grand Banks. The initiative has implications for federal government regulation and rights based management (RBM).
- Participated in freshwater policy roundtable discussion at the request of the Official Opposition.
- Provided an introduction to WWF's work in Arctic and discussed the desire to support shared priorities at the Arctic Council
- Within the context of the Species at Risk Advisory Committee (SARAC) meetings, provided recommendations regarding priorities and approach, accelerating efficiencies and effective implementation specifically related to the following subject matter: Arctic, climate change adaptation, ecosystem science Endangered Species Recovery Fund (ESRF), fisheries financing, regional SEA.
- Within the context of the annual Green Budget Coalition meetings, discussed the need to incorporate climate change adaptation measures into federal policies and programs, integrated management, marine spatial planning (MSP) policy, and oceans management.
- Within the context of the annual Green Budget Coalition meetings, lobbied with respect to the federal government meeting its commitment(s) to phase out fossil fuel subsidies.
- Within the context of the annual Green Budget Coalition meetings, lobbied with respect to the need to develop a national conservation plan and to ensure that the required resources to implement and manage said plan are secured and maintained.
- Within the context of the annual Green Budget Coalition meetings, recommendations where made with respect to maintaining (existing levels at a minimum) and increasing funds allocated to marine planning and the establishing of marine protected areas.
