- C-NLOPB Seismic Data Release Policy. Participation in a CAPP initiative to provide comment on the C-NLOPB’s planned Seismic Data Release Policy.
- Excise Taxes and Special Levies Notice 76: Notice to Excise Tax Licensees in the Canadian Fuel Industry Sector. Discussion with Canada Revenue Agency (the "CRA") with respect to administrative policy requirements for continued authorization under s. 48 of the Excise Tax Act (the "ETA") and the timeline and required changes to Husky's administrative processes and tax filings to remain compliant with the ETA. This includes communicating the issues and impacts to Husky in order to assist the CRA in understanding and ruling on Husky's proposed solutions. The Canadian Petroleum Products Institute, of which Husky is a member, is also involved in these communications.
- Joint Oil Sands Monitoring Program. Participation in a CAPP initiative to provide comment, at the request of Environment Canada (EC) and Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development (AESRD), related to implementing oil sands monitoring and the Joint Canada-Alberta Implementation Plan for oil sands monitoring.
- Oil and Gas Industry. Provided information, at request of the Privy Council Office, on market access, infrastructure, marketing, flexibility, effect of new technologies and resulting production growth in the United States on Canadian producers, and factors affecting the number and size of mergers and acquisitions
- Recovery Strategy for Woodland Caribou, Boreal Population. Providing feedback, in response to public invitation by Environment Canada, on the federal government’s Draft Recovery Strategy for Woodland Caribou, Boreal Population.

- Atlantic Canada Offshore Oil and Gas Industry. Participation, through CAPP, in a series of presentations to provide general information to designated public office holders on opportunities and challenges faced by the oil and gas industry in the Atlantic region, including existing and suggested regulations and guidelines.
- National Energy Board Financial Guidelines. Assessing the draft NEB Financial Guidelines on financial responsibility and viability emanating from COGOA regime (participation via CAPP)
Regulation
- Atlantic Canada Exploration. Participation in a CAPP initiative to provide comment on the need for broad based regulatory reform regarding exploration activity offshore Atlantic Canada that would align energy and environment policy among the provinces and with the federal government, as well as the possibility tax credits/royalty relief to increase exploration activity.
- Base level industrial emission requirements (BLIERS). Providing feedback, at Environment Canada’s request, on the proposed BLIERS that make up one of the core elements of the Air Quality Management System. Once complete, BLIERS will provide quantitative and qualitative emissions requirements for new and existing major industrial sectors and some equipment types.
- Climate Change. Providing feedback, at Environment Canada's request, on the federal government's proposed climate change regulations for the oil and gas sector, including reduction targets, price of carbon, compliance options, and timing.
- Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission Intensity regulations – Providing feedback to Environment Canada with respect to proposed GHG Emission Intensity regulations, including anticipated effects of and challenges posed by such regulations to Husky’s refinery and ethanol plant operations.

Description of activities
Husky is a Canadian-based integrated energy and energy-related company with upstream, midstream and refined products operations. The Company operates primarily in the western provinces and offshore Canada’s East Coast, but also has international exploration and development interests offshore China, Indonesia and Greenland.
Upstream operations include exploration, development and production of crude oil, bitumen and natural gas.
Midstream operations encompass upgrading of heavy crude oil into premium synthetic crude oil, pipeline transportation, gas storage, cogeneration, and the marketing of a wide range of petroleum-based products.
Refined products include the refining, marketing and distribution of gasoline, diesel, asphalt, ethanol and ancillary services in Canada and the United States, and a network of retail outlets.
