In-house Organization Details
Description of the organization's activities
UNA-Canada’s mandate is to educate and engage Canadians, especially youth, in the work of the United Nations (UN), the critical global issues that affect us in Canada and internationally, and to seek solutions to shared issues and challenges. The Association ‘grows global citizens’ who are aware, engaged and equipped with critical thinking skills and tools to impact positive social change in their communities. UNA-Canada derives much of its strength and community outreach from its network of twenty volunteer Branches and contact points across Canada. The Association delivers youth education and service programmes, many with the goal of improving access for underrepresented youth groups. These have included both Canada-based and international youth programs.
