Legislative Proposal, Bill or Resolution
- "An Act respecting cannabis and to amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Criminal Code and other Acts" formerly known as Bill C-45. Advocating for proposed amendments to the Act, specifically Section 17 to Section 24, with respect to branding, promotion and marketing of Health Canada approved cannabis products in Canada that will allow legal producers to differentiate their products from the illegal/black market.

- Advocating for enhanced inclusion in Federal Government Agency Programs re: Business Development Bank (BDC), Farm Credit Canada (FCC), Export Development Canada (EDC) as well as Western Economic Diversification programs for the cannabis sector.
- Advocating for the deferral of the remittance of collected cannabis excise taxes to enhance the liquidity of the sector due to higher operating costs related to COVID 19.
- To advocate for a National cannabis excise stamp on the placement of all adult-use cannabis products across Canada to improve the efficiency of the regulated cannabis sector and to better facilitate inter-provincial trade.
Regulation
- Due to Section 147 of The Cannabis Act providing the Minister of Health an exemption to the Service Fees Act and the authority to amending fees through Ministerial Order for the Health Canada's cannabis regulatory regime Sundial is advocating for temporary relief by waiving Health Canada's 2.3% annual regulatory to enhance the liquidity in the sector due to higher operating costs related to COVID 19.
