Legislative Proposal, Bill or Resolution

• Canadian Environmental Assessment Act: Seek clarification of proposed changes to CEAA and advocate for positive reform based on experience with the legislation.
• Nuclear Liability and Compensation Act: Advocate for the passage of Bill C-20 which would increase the amount of government financial aid in the event of a nuclear accident.

• Non-Resident Ownership Policy: Advocate for the implementation of the policy changes recommended for uranium mining in the final report of the Competition Policy Review Panel.
• Nuclear Energy: Advocate for nuclear energy to be a cornerstone policy of the government to limit greenhouse gas emission targets.

• Regulations of the Canadian Environment Protection Act: Advocate uniform interpretation of CEPA between the nuclear industry and other energy producers in other sectors.
