Since 1983, The Children's Family House Society of British Columbia, doing business as Ronald McDonald House Charities of British Columbia and Yukon (RMH BC&Y) has succeeded in providing a comforting home and circle of support to over 25,000 families as their seriously ill child faces a medical crisis. Despite our expansion in 2014 from a 13-bedroom home to a brand new 73-bedroom facility, 575 steps away from BC Children's and BC Women's Hospital, care teams at the hospital campus routinely have to advise families that RMH BC & Y is full, resulting in us turning away over 500 families each year who urgently need our support. Recent provincial projections show we're going to need more spaces in the next few years to even come close to meeting the need. We need to fundraise $96M with the goal of breaking ground in early 2026 and welcoming more families by the spring of 2028.
