Description of the organization's activities
Seneca College was established in 1966 to provide a postsecondary education alternative to university study in Ontario. Seneca delivers programs and training on campuses across the Greater Toronto Area and in Peterborough. The college is one of the largest in Canada, with more than 27,000 full-time students and over 70,000 part-time, continuing education course registrations annually. Seneca provides internationally and nationally recognized career education and training key to graduate success in the global economy. Every Seneca diploma, certificate and bachelor's degree program is developed to a high academic standard, in consultation with industry, integrated with information technology, combined with technical and transferable skills, and reinforced by opportunities for ongoing education and re-training. Seneca College is also a member of the following industry associations: Colleges and Institutes Canada - Colleges Ontario - Polytechnics Canada
