Grant, Contribution or Other Financial Benefit
- Aboriginal Education (Nursing) - in respect to either extending current Federal funding for the University's Support Program for Aboriginal Nursing, or to find new funding for the program.
- Obtain Western Economic Diversification funding in respect to building a a virtual Water Hub on campus.
- Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council funding - the U of L will work with the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council to add intellectual capacity to the University of Lethbridge's Prentice Institute for Global Population and Economy.
Policies or Program
- Museum Assistance Program - The University will lobby government to continue with this program as well as remove red tape to make it efficient to use.
- The University is interested in working with the federal government to create synergies between federal research initiatives and our own. The U of L will meet with various government officials (elected and non-elected) to obtain a better understanding of Federal research priorities in the areas of agriculture, environment, health and immigration.
- The University of Lethbridge will lobby the Federal government to ensure a focus on research and learning is reflected in the budgeting process with respect to increased funding for student scholarships, increased funding (direct and indirect) for research at universities, and increased funding for deferred maintenance for university buildings.
