THE CANADIAN CATTLEMEN'S ASSOCIATION REPRESENTS THE INTERESTS OF NEARLY 83,000 FARMERS AND RANCHERS AND PROMOTES THE EQUITABLE AND ECONOMIC WELFARE OF ALL PHASES OF THE BEEF INDUSTRY. IT ENCOURAGES THE ENACTMENT AND ENFORCEMENT OF LEGISLATION THAT IS DEEMED TO BE OF INTEREST TO THE BEEF CATTLE INDUSTRY AND OPPOSES LEGISLATION OR GOVERNMENT ACTIVITIES THAT IS CONTRARY TO THOSE INTERESTS. THE ORGANIZATION ENCOURAGES RESEARCH IN THE AREAS OF BEEF PRODUCTION AND MARKETING. IT PROMOTES THE POPULARITY OF BEEF AS A FOOD BY CREATING A BETTER UNDERSTANDING AMONG CONSUMERS. THE CCA COOPERATES WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE OBJECTIVES ARE SIMILAR IN WHOLE OR IN PART TO THOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION.
