The University of Guelph was established by the University of Guelph Act 1964. It is a research-intensive, learner-centred university which provides post secondary education, research and community service. It has attracted national and international recognition through its two of its founding Colleges; the Ontario Agricultural College and the Ontario Veterinary College.
