- International Trade Policy with respect to Free Trade Agreement with South Korea.
- Lobbying with respect to a manufacturing strategy pertaining to a National manufacturing strategy.
- Lobbying with respect to the auto and auto parts industry, particularly regarding support for the continued activities of General Motors of Canada Ltd. and Chrysler Canada Ltd. and the establishment of a Canadian Health Care Trust.
- Support for Public Transit in Ottawa and Toronto. We seek changes to the Federal Government policies regarding funding of municipal transit authorities.

Description of the organization's activities
The CAW-Canada aims to unite all of the workers under its jurisdiction into one organizaiton without regard to race, sex, creed, colour, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, political or religious affiliation, or place of national origin; to improve working conditions and create a uniform system of shorter hours and wages; to end occupational injury and disease, and improve conditions to create safe and healthy workplaces; to encourage members to take part in political action; to promote ideas and candidates that advance the rights of workers; and to provide assistance, within Canada as well as throughout the world, to labour and other organizations.

Organization's membership or classes of membership
The CAW-Canada is Canada's largest private sector trade union. It represents workers in a broad range of Canadian services and industries, including automobile, parts production, assembly, aerospace manufacturing and assembly, health care, retail, education, telecommunications, electronics, air, rail, road, marine transportation as well as the mining, fisheries and transportation sectors. Twenty percent of the union's members are women, approximately two-thirds of the membership of the CAW-Canada reside in Ontario.
