• SDTC's Funding Agreement is periodically updated and requires detailed discussions between SDTC and the Government of Canada. This could include discussions on recapitalization of SDTC, broadening of our mandate into different areas of clean technology, or utilizing SDTC as a policy delivery instrument of new or existing Government programs.

Policies or Program

• Action Plan to Reduce Greenhouse Gases and Air Pollution - SDTC's primary mandate is to bring to market technologies that contribute to climate change, clean air, clean water and clean soil. In this respect SDTC supplies information that will inform existing and future Government programs in these areas.
• Canada's Innovation Strategy and Canadian Competitiveness. SDTC helps bring innovation in the clean technology area to market, contributing to Canada's innovation strategy and competitiveness goals.
• Technology Fund and BioFuels Standard - SDTC provides input that may aide in the design or modification of policies and programs related to these policy areas.
• To inform government officials about our organization, its activities and how they improve the productivity, profitability and global competitiveness of Canadian industry in the area of sustainable development.
• ecoAction (including ecoAgriculture, ecoEnergy and ecoTransport) - SDTC's funding is complementary to these programs and information of mutual interest is exchanged between the Government and SDTC.
