Description of the organization's activities: B'nai Brith has been working as a human rights and advocacy organization in Canada since 1875. B'nai Brith brings Jewish men and women together in friendship to serve the community by reaching out to those in need; by fighting antisemitism, racism and bigotry in Canada and around the world; by promoting dialogue, human rights and peace worldwide; by preserving Jewish culture and striving for unity within our community.
Organization's membership or classes of membership: The Centre for Community Action is responsible for the membership which forms a network of lodges across Canada. Through this network, the Centre sponsors a wide variety of programs and events. B'nai Brith offices in Toronto, Montreal, Peel, Hamilton, Ottawa and Winnipeg are professionally operated and ensure that the ideals, policies and programs of B'nai Brith Canada are realized.
