ITS MEMBERS COMPRISE COMPANIES ENGAGED IN MINERAL EXPLORATION, EXTRACTION, BENEFICIATION, SMELTING, REFINING AND OTHER PROCESSING OF METALLIC AND NON-METALLIC MINERALS. THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTS THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS AT THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVELS. MAC LIASES CLOSELY WITH OTHER MINING INDUSTRY ASSOCIATIONS, FOREIGN, NATIONAL, PROVINCIAL AND TERRITORIAL. THE ASSOCIATION RESPONDS TO ENQUIRIES FROM THE PUBLIC, FROM MEDIA AND FROM GOVERNMENT. MAC PROVIDES A VEHICLE FOR JOINT AND VOLUNTARY ACTION BY ITS MEMBER FIRMS. THE ASSOCIATION ADVISES GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS AND PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS REGARDING THE IMPACT OF POLICIES, LEGISLATION AND REGULATIONS ON THE CANADIAN METALS AND MINERALS INDUSTRY. |

CERTAIN RELATED FIRMS MAY ALSO BECOME MEMBERS. THE ELECTED HEAD OF ANY PROVINCIAL, TERRITORIAL OR NATIONAL ORGANIZATION WHOSE MEMBERS ARE PRIMARILY ENGAGED IN MINING, MINERAL PROCESSING, OR MINERAL EXPLORATION MAY ALSO BECOME A MEMBER.
