- SmartATLANTIC Inshore Weather Buoy Network - Seeking capital and start-up funding through Transport Canada and/or Environment and Climate Change Canada and/or Canadian Coast Guard to be used to acquire and deploy 3-metre Ocean Data Acquisition System (ODAS) buoys to support port operations, safety of life at sea, and scientific research.

- Enlist support for the acquisition and deployment of weather monitoring buoys for key areas in Atlantic Canada for the purpose of enhancing safety of life at sea and improving severe weather forecasting capabilities in the Bay of Fundy, Chedabucto Bay, Placentia Bay and Halifax harbour.
- To foster awareness of the roles beyond piloting ships that Canadian Marine pilots perform within the transportation system; the powers that exist under the current legislation; the current pilotage regime in Canada and why maintaining the four regional pilotage authorities is important; and to serve as a resource for questions about marine pilotage in general.
