Description of the organization's activities: | THE WEST COAST ENVIRONMENTAL LAW ASSOCIATION (WCELA) HAS BEEN OPERATING AN ENVIRONMENTAL LAW CENTRE IN BRITISH COLUMBIA SINCE 1974. WE PROVIDE FREE LEGAL ADVICE TO ANYONE IN THE PROVINCE WITH ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS. IN ADDITION, WE ADVOCATE LEGISLATIVE REFORMS TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND TO ENSURE PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN ENVIRONMENTAL DECISION-MAKING. |
