Subvention, Contribution ou autre avantage financier

• Funding approved from the Foreign Credential Recognition Program for supporting and expediting the entry of Internationally Trained Accountants (ITAs) into the Canadian job market by providing a mid-tier level Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF) that recognizes their international education and experience, is valued by Canadian employers, and provides a bridge to the Canadian CPA designation; and supporting and increasing the number of Aboriginal finance professionals with the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada’s (AFOA Canada) Certificate in Aboriginal Financial Management (CAFM) in successfully obtaining the Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF). Funding has tentatively been extended for an additional year.
• Funding from Global Affairs Canada through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives to develop initiatives in partnership with Ordem dos Contabilistas e Auditores de Moçambique (OCAM) targeting students through education and training to strengthen financial literacy in Mozambique.
• Funding provided by the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) to CPA Canada to develop materials and provide other resources in support of the BDC’s WE Talk Business Boot Camp sessions.
• Receiving funding from Natural Resources Canada for two contracts focused on developing climate change adaptation training programs for Chartered Professional Accountants (CPAs), Executives and Boards of Directors; and on enhancing public and private sector climate-related disclosures.
