- Funding approved from the Foreign Credential Recognition Program for supporting and expediting the entry of Internationally Trained Accountants (ITAs) into the Canadian job market by providing a mid-tier level Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF) that recognizes their international education and experience, is valued by Canadian employers, and provides a bridge to the Canadian CPA designation; and supporting and increasing the number of Aboriginal finance professionals with the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada’s (AFOA Canada) Certificate in Aboriginal Financial Management (CAFM) in successfully obtaining the Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF).
- Funding provided by the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) to CPA Canada to develop materials and provide other resources in support of the BDC’s WE Talk Business Boot Camp sessions.

- Advice, input and feedback to Canada Revenue Agency on strategies and activities to combat the underground economy, tax evasion and aggressive tax avoidance to improve tax compliance and enhance the integrity of the tax system.
- Advice, input and feedback to government on policies and regulations related to digital technologies and the collection, storage, use and ownership of data.
- Advice, input and feedback to government with respect to amending the Canada Business Corporations Act to include beneficial ownership reporting requirements.
- Advice, input and feedback to the Standards Council of Canada; Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada; and the government regarding standards, codes and regulations to ensure the integrity of data.
- CPA Canada’s involvement with the Plenary, associated Working Groups and other Committees for Canada’s National Climate Change Adaptation Platform through Natural Resources Canada.
- CPA’s Climate Change Adaptation Education Project supported by Natural Resources Canada's under the Enhancing Competiveness in a Changing Climate Program which will focus on the development of adaptation tools for CPA members.

- Consultations/recommendations to Canada Revenue Agency with respect to minimizing the administrative burden for businesses and taxpayers, including consultations on the "Serving You Better" initiative to reduce red tape.

- Discussions with CRA on interpretative issues with respect to the administration of tax legislation to collaborate in resolving uncertainty and ambiguity in tax law to help promote better compliance by taxpayers.

- Discussions with Canada Revenue officials with respect to the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) to collaborate in the preparation of income tax and benefit returns for eligible individuals who have a modest income and a simple tax situation.

Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) represents the Canadian accounting profession, both nationally and internationally. Operating in the highly complex and global accounting ecosystem, CPA Canada is a convener, facilitator, contributor and disseminator of information that advances the profession. The organization works closely with the provincial, territorial and Bermudan CPA bodies to champion best practices that benefit business and society.
