HCCC was incorporated as a NFP in 2017 with the following purpose: a)to promote the health of all Canadians by facilitating the exchange of information amongst the corporation's members (and their connected patients and caregivers) as to health policy and the investment in health research of both public and private funding sources in Canada; b. to further the advancement of education of the general public, and of identifiable groups of Canadians with a common illness or health concern, through awareness campaigns and by encouraging health research so as to achieve a better level of health and wellness overall in Canada; and c. to act as a forum to bring together national health charities to work collaboratively, share best practice information and standards so as to make sustainable change for the better health and wellness of all Canadians
