Subject Matter: Retrospective: October 23, 2006 Meetings with MPs from Conservative, Liberal and NDP caucuses. Discussed a proposal for a federally funded national osteoporosis strategy. Members included Rob Merrifield, Steven Fletcher, Pat Davidson, Stephen Owen, Carolyn Bennett, Ruby Dhalla, Tiny Keeper, staff for Belinda Stronach, staff for Penny Priddy, Chris Charlton. Met again with Steven Fletcher on October 30, 2006.Volunteers met with Steven Fletcher in constituency office during November to discuss similar topic. Volunteers met with Vic Toews in constituency office during December to discuss similar topic.Letters forwarded to all members with follow up information and request for consideration of national strategy.Letters forwarded to Tony Clement, Jim Flaherty, John Baird with information and request to consider funding the national strategy.
Subject Matter: Prospective: For first half of 2007, it is our intention to continue to meet with Members of Government, staff, bureaucrats to discuss this strategy. This is to be achieved with letters, email and visits both in Ottawa and constituency offices where possible.
