Description of activities: | The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) is a western Canadian farmers' grain marketing company whose goal is to earn the best overall return for farmers from the sale of their wheat and barley. The CWB sells farmer's grain to over seventy countries worldwide, with annual sales of 18-24 million tonnes. The organization is farmer-led with a fifteen member board of directors, 2/3 of whom are democratically elected by western Canadian farmers. The CWB is governed by the Canadian Wheat Board Act. |
