Our organization is active in the development of renewable fuel policy through organizations such as the Canola Council of Canada and the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association. Doug Hooper is a board member of both organizations.Activities during the previous six months have included communication with members of the federal and provincial governments that have influence over renewable fuel policy. This mainly includes agriculture and energy ministries.
Subject Matter: Prospective: Over the next six months activities considered 'lobbying' may increase beyond 20% of a person's time as the development of Canadian renewable fuel industry accelerates. Activities may include, but are not limited to, meetings, phone calls and email correspondence with elected officials and ministry staff with respect to renewable fuels policy.

Policy or Program Canadian Bioenergy Corporation's lobbying activities will involve renewable fuel policy, specifically the federally mandated renewable fuel standard and fiscal policies to be put in place to aid the development of this new industry.
Grant, Contribution or Other Financial Benefit Canadian Bioenergy received notification on December 11, 2006 of receipt of a $300,000 grant under the Biofuels Opportunities for Producers Initiative program. In addition, funding was received from NRCan for a study titled "Organizational and Ownership Structure Report for Vertically Integrated Feedstock to Biodiesel Production Models". This study was completed in April 2006.
