Description of the organization's activities: The University of Windsor is Canada's most personal comprehensive university. It combines a strong and focused emphasis on the learning experience of each student with a very broad range of graduate, undergraduate and professional programmes. The University has more than 140 undergraduate and graduate programs across 9 Faculties for 16, 000 students. It offers 9 co-operative education programs for 1, 100 students and is affiliated with 3 Colleges. A special focus on automotive, environmental and social justice interdisciplinary research reflects the priorities of the University and its surrounding region.
Organization's membership or classes of membership: The University of Windsor Act establishes the university's bicameral governance structure. The Act assigns responsibility for the direction of all operational aspects of the University to the 32-member Board of Governors. The Senate is responsible for academic programming. The Senate and Board of Governors have a broad membership including students, faculty, staff members, alumni, business and community leaders and representatives of its three affiliated Colleges.
