- Bill C-30, Clean Air Act in respect of quotas for greenhouse gases.
It seems this Bill has expired. We are continuing to engage with government officials on coming up with workable solutions for Canadian industry with respect to climate change and clean air.
- Climate Change Initiative (Clean Air) Canadian Environmental Protection Agency 1999. We are interested in:
National ambient air quality objectives (NAAQOs) for common air pollutants (e.g. SO2, NO2, CO) are in place. We are monitoring the government's Pollution Prevention Plans that have been requested for certain sectors. Continued engagment as we are expecting regulatory changes in 2009/10
- Seaway Tolls. As one of the largest private shippers in the great lakes, ArcelorMittal Dofasco continues to have interest in the costs associated with marine shipping in Canada. A competitive marine transportation network for Canada is vital for a healthy manufacturing sector.
