• Consultant acting as chair for community adjustment working on diversification of one industry community. The role of the committee is to identify and research possible opportunities for economic development in the community. The consultant is responsible for chairing meetings and making connections between the Township and potential ventures. This committee is funded by MTCU - the consultant was responsible for original contracting details as well as extension requests as required.
• Consultant is acting as the chair of the Labour Adjustment Committee. It is the committee's job to establish a labour adjustment centre to help the laid off workers in the community to transition between employment and employment insurance/support. The purpose of the Labour Action Centre is to also try to place the displaced workers in full or part time permanent or temporary work. This committee is funded by MTCU and the consultant was responsible for original contract negotiation as well as the negotiation of extension requests are required.
• The consultant lobbyist is working with community members from the Township of White River on the identification of possible ventures surrounding the shut down Domtar mill. This group, through the Township of White River, has hired an external consultant whose position has been funding in part by FedNor, MTCU and NOHFC.
