Subject Matter: Retrospective: | January 2007: Sent a letter and brief report to all members of Parliament regarding the report of the House of Commons Subcommittee on Solicitation Laws.January 2007: Sent a letter and submissions regarding Canada's Access to Medicines Regime (CAMR) to Health Canada and Industry Canada, in response to public consultation process inviting submissions from interested parties.March 2007: Meeting with managers in HIV/AIDS Division of the Public Health Agency of Canada to discuss variety of matters related to implementation of the Federal Initiative to Address HIV/AIDS in Canada, including funding programs under said InitiativeMarch 2007: Letter sent, jointly with several other NGOs, to the Minister for International Cooperation regarding measures by Canada to support global goal of universal access to HIV prevention, care and treatment by 2010March 2007: Sent letter to all MPs and Senators regarding Budget 2007, specifically re: elements of government plans with respect to addressing use of illicit drugs through a new "National Anti-Drug Strategy"April 2007: Executive Director attended national "HIV Prevention Forum" organized by Public Health Agency of Canada in OttawaApril 2007: In collaboration with the North-South Institute, co-hosted an international expert meeting in Ottawa on a range of issues related to intellectual property and access to medicines, including discussion of possible reforms to Canada's Access to Medicines Regime (CAMR).
