• Propose omnibus bill that amends pertinent legislation, including the Copyright Act, the Trade-marks Act, the Customs Act,the Criminal Code, and the Proceeds of Crime Act, for the purpose of increasing enforcement and penalties for intellectual property offences and piracy.

• Bill formerly known as Bill C-28, "An Act to promote the efficiency and adaptability of the Canadian economy by regulating certain activities that discourage reliance on electronic means of carrying out commercial activities, and to amend the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Act, the Competition Act, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and the Telecommunications Act", with respect to the potential negative impacts of anti-spam and anti-malware provisions on Canadian business online, the entertainment software industry, and development, sale and distribution of entertainment software in Canada, and the proposal of amendments to these sections and accompanying regulations.
• Bill formerly known as S-4, "An Act to amend the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act", with respect to the potential impacts of new data breach and valid consent provisions on Canadian business online, the entertainment software industry, and development, sale and distribution of entertainment software in Canada, and the proposal of amendments to these sections and accompanying regulations.
• Introduction of copyright reform legislation to bring Copyright Act into compliance with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Internet treaties and a) contains more specific language and stringent penalties for the manufacture and use of circumvention devices used to bypass embedded technical protection measures (TPMs) and b) requires Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to take down websites offering pirated products once the ISP has been notified and provided evidence by the rights holder.

• Advocacy related to video game publishers and developers with respect to the joint ISI and Heritage review of the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Acts.

• Classification of game developers, publishers and distributors under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) & federal National Occupation Codes (NOC) system
• North American Free Trade Agreement with respect to cross border data flows, intellectual property, movement of skilled labour, etc.
• To advocate for the cooperation of the federal and provincial governments to introduce a digital economy skills initiative to ensure Canadian students have the skills necessary to thrive in the digital economy.
• Trade classification of on-line video game services under the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS).
• Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement ("TPP") with respect to market access for digital products and services, labour mobility for IT and game industry workers, intellectual property protection, investor protection, foreign investment, cultural goods protection and harmonization of regulations
• WTO Information Technology Agreement ("ITA") with respect to classification of game hardware and software
