Grant, Contribution or Other Financial Benefit
- A targeted Health Human Resources Fund be established by the federal government, that could be administered by the provinces to respect the P/T shortages, but would have federal accountability to address the health care professional shortage across the country.
- Infrastructure money to include academic/research hospitals and academic regional health authorities. Previous stimulus packages excluded health care facilities.
- Research and Development, Innovation and Commercializations - That Canadian Institutes of Health Research A-base funding be increased to 1% of health care budget.

- The Supreme Court of Canada decision on the Chaoulli case - the principle of access based on need and not ability to pay. This is not limited to the Canada Health Act sections 2,3,4,7,8,9,10, 11,12,13,14,18,19,22,23.

- Goods and Services Tax application to health research institutions under the MUSH formula be extended at the same rate of 83% to research institutes which form part of the research hospitals. CRA has a draft interpretation bulletin with respect to this.
- Health Canada - Advisory Committee on Health Delivery and Human Resources (ACHDHR): Health system employability - self sufficiency, internationally educated health professionals, and entry-to-practice credentials. Also following the 2008/2009 First Ministers' meetings, the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) and labour mobility.
- Health Canada - First Nations and Inuit Health, Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada: Aboriginal health. CHA advocates on training and job opportunities for Aboriginal Canadians, programs to reduce chronic disease and support health promotion, funding for health services, sufficient health human resources, and improving living conditions such as clean water.
- Health Canada: Ten-Year Plan to Strengthen Health Care (Plan). CHA advocates on the following sections of this Plan: Reducing Wait Times and Improving Access, Strategic Health Human Resource (HHR) Action Plan, Home Care, Primary Care Reform, National Pharmaceuticals Strategy, Prevention, Promotion and Public Health, Health Innovation, Accountability and Reporting to Citizens, FMM 2004 Investments for Health and New Funding Levels (10-Year).
- Increase the Goods and Services Tax rebate under the MUSH formula (Municipalities, Universities, Schools and Hospitals) for public health and health authorities from 83% to 100% of eligible costs.
- Mental Health Commission of Canada: Progress on access to mental health services across the health continuum and expanded home- and continuing-care supports
- Science and Technology strategy - as part of a group of six stakeholder groups representing not-for-profit, public and private sectors, present a National Health Innovation Action plan for the health/life sciences sector.
- The Order Amending the Order Respecting the Interim Federal Health Program (June 28, 2012) with respect to changes in health care for refugees and refugee claimants.
