CAA advocates for legislation, regulations, grants and government programs which will improve mobility, traffic safety, Canadians travel experience and insurance protection for all Canadians
- Environment
CAA works with Environment Canada, Industry Canada and National Resoruces Canada to encourage programs which will promote energy conservation, reduce air pollution, improve travel safety and reduce Canada's aging vehicle fleet.
- Infrastructure
CAA's long-term objective is to advocate for sustainable federal infrastructre funding and in particular continue to advocate for a National Highway System
- Justice and Law Enforcement
Justice and Law Enforcemtn CAA advocates for legislation at the federal level which will improve travel safety for Canadians
- Taxation and Finance
CAA advocates for fair and equitable taxes and tolls on all road users. CAA works with Finance Canada to ensure that taxes collected from motorists and air travelers including the Air Travelers Security Tax and fuel Excise Tax are in turn used to improve travel safety and Canada's road and highway network
- Tourism
CAA works with governments, industry and stakeholders to develop a long term vision and strategic direction that fosters the promotion of well financed and effective programs to enhance Canada's tourism industry
- Transportation
CAA advises Parliamentarians and their staff, Transport Canada, and Industry Canada to ensure adequate funding for effective road and travel safety programs. CAA promotes traffic safety programs designed to reduce collisions, and the resulting death and sseverity of the injuries.
