ON THE BILL C-6 (PREVIOUSLY C-54) ISSUE: MET WITH FRANK FEDYK, BETH PIETERSON AND JOHN DOSSETOR, HEALTH CANADA; MET WITH ASSOCIATE DEPUTY MINISTER OF HEALTH, ALAN NYMARK; MET WITH STEPHANIE PERRIN AND OTHER INDUSTRY CANADA OFFICIALS; SPOKE BRIEFLY TO ALLAN ROCK, MINISTER OF HEALTH, AT THE AMYOT LECTURE; MET WITH TONY MACEROLLO OF INDUSTRY MINISTER JOHN MANLEY'S OFFICE; METH WITH JOHN MANLEY PRIOR TO A FUNDRAISING DINNER; APPEARED BEFORE THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON SOCIAL AFFAIRS, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WITH OUR BRIEF ON C-6; MET WITH HERB GRAY, MP, LYNN MYERS, MP, AND SENATOR LUCIE PIPIN. MEETING WITH CHRISTINE DAPRAT AND OTHER OFFICIALS AT HRDC ON A LABOUR MARKET STUDY REGARDING A SHORTAGE OF PHARMACISTS. WORK WITH NIHB ON DRUG USE MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES. RESPOND TO REGULATORY AFFAIRS QUESTIONS FROM HEALTH CANADA. FOLLOW UP ON HEALTH PROTECTION LEGISLATION RENEWAL CONSULTATIONS. PARTICIPATION IN DIRECT TO CONSUMER ADVERTISING ISSUE. EXPECT TO CONTACT ALLAN ROCK REGARDING PHARMACY AWARENESS WEEK.
