Description of the organization's activities

Wildlife Habitat Canada (WHC) is a national, non-profit, conservation organization established in 1984 by Environment Canada, provincial wildlife agencies and conservation organizations. WHC works through partnerships with communities, landowners, governments, non-government organizations and industry to promote the conservation, restoration and enhancement of wildlife habitat in order to retain the biodiversity, distribution and abundance of wildlife; to provide a funding mechanism for habitat projects; and to foster coordination and leadership in the conservation, restoration and enhancement of wildlife habitat in Canada.
