Enhance Energy Inc ( Enhance) is an Alberta based company specializing in secondary and tertiary enhanced oil recovery and carbon capture and storage. Enhance is an independent operator that uses CO2 from a number of industrial sources across central Alberta to recover oil that would otherwise remain in the reservoir. Enhance plans to be the first company in Alberta to implement a large scale CO2 enhanced oil recovery and sequestration project and utilize Alberta's first CO2 pipeline distribution system, the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line.This 240 kilometre pipeline employs safe proven technology to gather, compress and store up to 14.6 million tonnes of CO2 per year at full capacity. This will be equivalent to removing 2.6 million cars off the road annually or about a third of all registered vehicles in the province. To add to this advantage, the stored CO2 will be injected into depleted oil reservoirs and result in the recovery of over 1 billion barrels of oil.
