- ecoEnergy Technology Initiative.
Husky has been asked by Natural Resources Canada to revise its application for funding under the ecoEnergy Technology Initiative. The various work, preparations and communications with Natural Resources Canada for this revision have been to align expectations for project scope, schedules and application requirements. The application is in support of a pilot project to capture, purify, and transport CO2 from Husky's Lloydminster upgrader and ethanol plant to use in enhanced oil recovery for heavy oil and CO2 sequestration.
- ecoEnergy for Biofuels.
Husky has been awarded a grant under the ecoEnergy for Biofuels program from Natural Resources Canada for Husky's Minnedosa and Lloydminster ethanol plants. There will be communications with respect to this grant with designated public office holders.
Policies or Program
- Atlantic Petroleum Sector Roundtable.
From time to time, Husky will engage in informal discussions on general industry topics or, potentially, on Husky specific project activities. To date, topics include the need to stimulate East Coast exploration, concerns regarding regulatory burden, research and development and impediments to industry development. These opportunities will be infrequent, and are not currently part of a project or communications plan.
