- A technology provider for one of Husky's projects gave a presentation to NRCan describing a CO2 Capture Project it proposes to undertake at a Husky facility, outlining funding requirements and seeking funding assistance. A Husky representative attended the presentation for the purpose of outlining Husky's plans for future CO2 Capture at Husky's Pikes Peak South SAGD Facility.
- ecoEnergy Technology Initiative.
Husky's application for funding under the ecoEnergy Technology Initiative has been approved. Husky is in the process of working with Natural Resources Canada to finalize the documentation required to fulfill Husky's obligations under the signed Contribution Agreement between Husky and NRCan. This application is in support of a pilot project to inject CO2 for enhanced oil recovery and CO2 storage to be implemented in two of Husky’s heavy oil fields in the Lloydminster area. In addition to this, NRCan and Husky are working to finalize a new agreement to provide additional funding to this project. Details of the agreement are still being worked out.
- ecoEnergy for Biofuels.
Husky has been awarded a grant under the ecoEnergy for Biofuels program from Natural Resources Canada for Husky's Minnedosa and Lloydminster ethanol plants. There will be communications with respect to this grant with designated public office holders.
- ecoEnergy for Biofuels. Husky's application for funding of Husky's HDRD (hydrogenation-derived renewable diesel) project under the ecoEnergy Technology Initiative has been approved, but Husky and NRCan have not yet entered into a Contribution Agreement.

Description of activities
Husky is a Canadian-based integrated energy and energy-related company with upstream, midstream and refined products operations. The Company operates primarily in the western provinces and offshore Canada’s East Coast, but also has international exploration and development interests offshore China, Indonesia and Greenland.
Upstream operations include exploration, development and production of crude oil, bitumen and natural gas.
Midstream operations encompass upgrading of heavy crude oil into premium synthetic crude oil, pipeline transportation, gas storage, cogeneration, and the marketing of a wide range of petroleum-based products.
Refined products include the refining, marketing and distribution of gasoline, diesel, asphalt, ethanol and ancillary services in Canada and the United States, and a network of retail outlets.
