Description of the organization's activities
Founded in 1998, WaterPower Canada is the national trade association dedicated to representing the hydropower industry. Its members span the breadth of the industry, members include hydropower producers, manufacturers, developers, engineering firms, organizations and individuals interested in the field of hydropower. Members represent the overwhelming majority of the hydropower capacity in Canada.
The Association is governed by an elected representative Board of Directors.

Corporate members of WaterPower Canada represent the overwhelming majority of the hydropower generating capacity in Canada. In addition, our members represent the associated industry manufacturers, developers and engineering firms.
Associate members of WPC include renewable energy associations, university departments and Environment Canada. In addition, we have a wealth of consultants that contribute to our mandate.
