The Praxis Spinal Cord Institute is a Canadian-based not-for-profit organization committed to reducing the incidence and severity of paralysis after spinal cord injury and accelerating the translation of discoveries and best practices into improved treatments and quality of life for people with SCI. To achieve its strategic objectives, RHI has developed a framework of 4 core programs: 1. Cure Program - Generating knowledge and establishing treatments that will lead to cures for paralysis after SCI. 2. Care Program - Establishing new knowledge and best practices to optimize care. 3. Commercialization Program - Facilitating increased investment in innovative technologies and therapeutics. 4. Consumer Program - Engaging people with SCI, improving awareness and enhancing opportunities for participation in research and health decision-making among consumers.
