• Consumer Issues: Aimia is the owner and operator of loyalty management businesses globally, including here in Canada. We are pleased to work with government on such topics as consumer protection, data and privacy policy reviews.

• With over five million members, the Aeroplan loyalty program, that is owned and operated by Aimia, is subject to and influenced by provincial, national and international privacy policy and Canadian The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Specifically, Aimia is interested in the breech notification, consent and changes to the consent provisions/requirements of PIPEDA.
