- Active & Safe Tier 1 A Project - focused on the prevention of concussion and head injuries, this project was funded through the PHAC Active & Safe Initiative, and involves education of the public, coaches and children on how to prevent, identify and respond to concussion and head injuries.
- Active & Safe Tier 2 Project - Recreational cycling for children and the importance of wearing a helmet when engaged in this activity is the focus of this project that was funded through the PHAC Active and Safe Initiative. This project will train children in bike safety, promote helmets through public edcuation and provide helmets to at risk children.
- Active & Safe Tier 2 Project - Ski & Snowsports with youth is the focus of this project funded through the PHAC Active and Safe Initiative which seeks to educate youth on preventing injuries when engaged in skiing and snowsports.

Description of the organization's activities
Parachute is a national, charitable organization dedicated to preventing injury and saving lives. It was created from the amalgamation of four leading Canadian injury prevention groups: Safe Communities Canada, Safe Kids Canada, SMARTRISK and ThinkFirst Canada. Parachute’s injury prevention programming and advocacy efforts are designed to help Canadians reduce their risks of injury while enjoying long lives lived to the fullest.

Currently, Parachute has incorporated existing formats from the four founding organizations which includes Chapters that have formed in 19 communities and focus on brain and spinal cord injuries, along with designated Safe Communities who form to address a variety of injuries in their communities. There are also an informal network of Partners across the country and they have an interest or mandate to provide injury prevention activities.
