• Kenjgewin Teg Educational Institute received funding from the Strategic partnership fund; from Indigenous Services Canada every year - this year they have had the funding pulled. They are seeking to have the decision reversed. They are also looking to secure some funding from Employment and Social Development for training funds at the institute
• Looking for further funding support through the post secondary budget fund that they are currently receiving through Indigenous Northern Affairs Canada
• Looking to secure funding from the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy program, for a joint indigenous institute/Ontario College of Art and Design University partnership. This will establish a KTEI campus in Toronto allowing for both urban and rural First Nation students to benefit from KTEI's trade school and Ontario College of Art and Design University computer science programs.
