- Sensibiliser les élus et les décideurs publics quant à la responsabilité financière du gouvernement du Canada de contribuer au frais de recyclage de ses emballages et imprimés mis sur le marché au Québec.

- Sensibiliser les élus et les donneurs d'ordre publics afin qu'ils adoptent des orientations favorisant l'économie circulaire, incluant des mesures fiscales et des politiques publiques touchant l'utilisation de matériaux recyclés dans différents projets et applications, tels les infrastructures urbaines et routières, les équipements urbains, les matériaux de construction et autres applications et encourager les entreprises à utiliser des produits et matières à contenu recyclé à l'aide de crédits d'impôts.
- Sensibiliser les élus et les décideurs publics afin qu'ils adoptent des mesures visant à appuyer les entreprises de recyclage qui développent des solutions innovantes et des marchés locaux et limitrophes pour les matières recyclables.

- Influencer l’approche proposée de gestion intégrée des produits de plastique visant à réduire les déchets et à prévenir la pollution, ainsi que le projet de Décret d’inscription d’une substance toxique à l’annexe 1 de la Loi canadienne sur la protection de l’environnement

- Influencer et contribuer à la réflexion sur le contenu du Forum mondial de l’économie circulaire dont le Canada sera l’hôte en 2021 et assurer une participation de Éco Entreprises Québec à ce Forum
- Influencer la contribution du gouvernement fédéral à la mise en œuvre du Plan d’action pancanadien visant l’atteinte de zéro déchet de plastique du Conseil canadien des ministres de l’Environnement

Description of the organization's activities
Créé à l’initiative des entreprises qui mettent sur le marché québécois des contenants, des emballages et des imprimés, Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ) est un organisme privé sans but lucratif agréé par RECYC-QUÉBEC en vertu de la Loi sur la qualité de l’environnement depuis 2005.
Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ) est l’organisme qui élabore le Tarif et perçoit la contribution des entreprises, laquelle est ensuite redistribuée afin de financer les services municipaux de collecte sélective au Québec. ÉEQ encourage également l’innovation et le partage des meilleures pratiques dans le but d’optimiser la chaîne de valeur des matières recyclables. Pour ce faire, ÉEQ collabore tant avec les entreprises, pour réduire les quantités à la source et privilégier l’utilisation de matières recyclables, qu’avec les municipalités et les autres intervenants, pour accroître le recyclage et la valeur économique des matières récupérées.
ÉEQ met également en place des mesures financières permettant l'optimisation des centres de tri du Québec et le développement des marchés des matières recyclables.
ÉEQ compte plus de 3 000 entreprises et organisations contributrices mettant sur le marché québécois des contenants, emballages et imprimés. En vertu de la Loi sur la qualité de l’environnement (LQE), celles-ci sont tenues de compenser 100% des coûts nets des services municipaux de collecte sélective depuis 2013.
