Description of the organization's activities
Depuis une vingtaine d’années, le Centre de développement bioalimentaire du Québec (CDBQ) accompagne les entreprises qui inscrivent leur avenir au coeur des tendances porteuses de l’industrie agricole québécoise, et ce, dans le cadre du développement des produits de niche ou du terroir, explorer les aliments fonctionnels, expérimenter de nouvelles cultures et même démarrer une entreprise en transformation alimentaire.

Organization's membership or classes of membership
Au cours des années, le CDBQ a su établir des partenariats durables avec un vaste réseau d’experts dans les différentes grandes sphères du bioalimentaire. Cette approche a permis au CDBQ de compléter son expertise. Les clients peuvent donc compter sur une offre de services intégrée répondant mieux à leurs besoins.
AG- BIO -Le CDBQ et AG-Bio Centre ont développé un partenariat mettant en valeur leur expertise respective. AG-Bio Centre apporte son expertise en encadrement d’affaires tandis que le CDBQ offre ses ressources matérielles ainsi que son expertise en R&D.
BIOPOTERRE -Depuis la création de Biopterre, les deux organisations entretiennent des liens d’affaires et de collaboration très étroits. Biopterre utilise des infrastructures au CDBQ notamment des bureaux et des laboratoires. Le siège social de Biopterre est situé au CDBQ.
La COOP FEDEREE -Un partenariat a été élaboré avec La Coop fédérée afin de mettre en place un système énergétique à la biomasse forestière. Le partenariat avec La Coop fédérée concerne l’acquisition d’une nouvelle technologie, le financement et la fourniture de biomasse. Premier système installé au Québec par La Coop fédérée, le système implanté au CDBQ constitue une véritable vitrine technologique. Depuis 2012, le système alimente en énergie deux bâtiments autrefois alimentés au mazout léger. Les économies d’énergie générées par le système sont de l’ordre de 60 %.
CRBM -Le CRBM et le CDBQ n’hésitent pas à partager des ressources et à collaborer sur différents projets dans le grand domaine du bioalimentaire. Les équipements analytiques de pointe ainsi que certains équipements de transformation spécifiques du CRBM viennent compléter le large éventail d’équipements du CDBQ.
INAF -L’INAF et le CDBQ travaillent régulièrement à la réalisation de différents projets de recherche et de développement en transformation alimentaire et à la mise en valeur des coproduits pour l’industrie.
ITA - Depuis sa création, le CDBQ entretient des liens privilégiés avec l’ITA qui se traduisent par des ententes administratives et opérationnelles. Elles concernent la transformation alimentaire, la production porcine et la location de parcelles à des fins pédagogiques
NATUR+L XTD - Le CDBQ et Natur+l XTD ont développé un partenariat mettant en valeur leur expertise dans les hautes pressions hydrostatiques
RIO AGROBIOTECH - Le CDBQ en collaboration avec les autres Centres de recherche et les compagnies innovantes du milieu en agrobiotechnologie se sont regroupés afin de mettre en place la plateforme d’innovation ouverte en agrobiotechnologie. Cette nouvelle plateforme vise à la mise en place d’infrastructures de pointe qui seront mises à la disposition des partenaires et à mettre en commun leurs expertises
UNIVERSITÉ LAVAL - Une partie de l’équipe de recherche sur les boissons fermentées du CDBQ est actuellement située à l’Université Laval. Le CDBQ bénéficie ainsi d’un accès à une multitude d’équipements analytiques à la fine pointe. Dans le cadre de la réalisation de ses projets, le CDBQ offre des opportunités de stage à des étudiants gradués de 2e et 3e cycles. Le CDBQ remet annuellement à des étudiants des bourses d’études en milieu de travail
