- Communicating with the Government of Canada on criteria and opportunities under the Strategic Innovation Fund(SIF) and low-carbon fuels more broadly. Parkland may apply, from time to time, to opportunities and funding calls related but not limited to opportunities that enhance our service offerings such as electric vehicle charging infrastructure programs and clean fuel fund requests for proposals issued by Natural Resources Canada.

- Engaging with the federal government in relation to an RFP relating to the supply of fuel to the Department of National Defence.

- Advocacy around necessary issues to maintain fuel supply in British Columbia during the emergency situation including help with streamlining access to infrastructure assets as well as adequate access to supply.
- Engaging with the federal government on policy issues including federal budgets, taxation, tax incentives for biofuels, low-carbon fuel production, environment, infrastructure, foreign investment, natural resources, international trade, helping support Canadian energy exports to get to global markets, and pandemic response. Discussing federal/provincial energy policy with respect to issues of supply and access, as well as innovation, policies and programs on the use of low-carbon fuels and increase production and use of biofuels. Supporting policy development and deployment of electric vehicle infrastructure in Canada, including mandates, incentives, and standards development.
