a) monetary assistance for the Lebanese Armed Forces to help with a reservist program in every district in Lebanon (15) that would target women for non-combat roles within the Armed Forces. Work with the UN to help with this along with a well respected Canadian charity with feet on the ground inside Lebanon. For example, The Sisterhood of Diman Foundation in conjunction with the Canadian Red Cross.

c) efforts to assist a fact finding mission for Beirut blast through HRC. The victims of the Beirut blast, which include Lebanese Canadians want closure, and part of that is to find the ones who are accountable. While some progress is being done, there needs to be an independent fact finding mission on the ground and the victims have put this forth through the Human Rights Council of the United Nations. A step forward, would be to recruit signatories for this mission to help it pass at the next sitting.

h) assist Canadians of Lebanese decent in obtaining their identity documentation by providing the Embassy of Lebanon in Ottawa, the Consul General in Montreal resources to allow Canadian residents and citizens to preserve their identities. Lebanese who arrive in Canada are proud to become part of this country's mosaic of cultures, and since Lebanon is internally strapped of resources due to the ongoing conflicts, refugees and economic crises, we do not want this important ability to obtain one's identity papers to be compromised. This has been identified as a critical issue in the 2022 Lebanese elections, and we do not want a repeat issue in 2026.
