Description of the organization's activities
The Digital Research Alliance of Canada serves Canadian researchers, with the objective of advancing Canada’s position as a leader in the knowledge economy on the international stage. By integrating, championing and funding the infrastructure and activities required for advanced research computing (ARC), research data management (RDM) and research software (RS), we provide the platform for the research community to access tools and services faster than ever before.

There are two categories of membership: Primary Members and Associate Members.
Primary Members are post-secondary institutions, research hospitals and/or affiliated institutes that are eligible for Tri-Council grants.
Associate Members include post-secondary institutions that choose not to be Primary Members and Digital Research Infrastructure-related associations that have a significant amount of activity in one of the three digital research pillars – Advanced Research Computing, Data Management and/or Research Software.
